Last updated: August 29, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Rosie Scented Candles collects, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected].

Who we are

Rosie Scented Candles ("we", "us") is a trading name of Rosevital Cafe LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company registered at Stamford, CT 06902. Rosevital Cafe LLC is the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address when you place an order.
  • Message content when you contact us through the site, by email or by text.
  • Your email address if you sign up for order or restock notifications.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the pages you visit on this site.
  • Cookie identifiers used to keep your cart working and to measure which pages people find useful.

What we never see

Card payments are processed by our payment provider. Your full card number never reaches our servers and we cannot retrieve it. We receive only a confirmation, the last four digits, and the card brand.

Why we use it

  • To take payment, fulfil your order, and send you shipping updates.
  • To answer questions you send us and handle returns or damage claims.
  • To send marketing emails, but only if you opted in. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
  • To detect fraud and keep the store secure.
  • To meet tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who need it to do their job for us: our payment processor, our shipping carriers, our email platform, and our website host. Each is bound to use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for one year to satisfy tax and accounting requirements. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Support messages are kept for two years. After that, records are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to port it elsewhere. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within thirty days and we will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.

California residents: you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the cart and checkout to function, and analytics cookies that help us see which pages are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the checkout may stop working correctly if you block the necessary ones.

Children

This store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be announced by email to anyone on our list.
